Supporter's Forum

Structure and terms of reference:  Purpose Areas of Interest Membership Meetings Structure of Forum

Purpose:

As a result of the dissolution of the Commonwealth Artificial Limb Scheme, the States and Territories are operating distinct state focussed schemes for the administration of the publicly funded provision of prosthetic devices to eligible clients. There is a need to provide a forum for discussion of relevant matters to provide continuity and compatibility of prosthetic service provision across Australia for amputees.

Areas of Interest:

• To provide an opportunity to collectively identify and address issues of mutual concern
• To promote consistent policy approaches towards prosthetic services for amputees
• To coordinate a uniform standard component listing
• To liaise on matters relating to funding and cost control activities
• To promote efficient means of sharing information and data in a consistent manner

 The Manager (or delegate) of the REHAB Tech Supporter Contract in each State or Territory,  one of whom shall be elected as the Chairman of the Forum, and
The Manager of REHABTech (or delegate) who shall act as the Secretary to the Forum

Meetings:
At least once annually,
Ad hoc, as required by circumstances.

Structure of Forum:

• Administration

- Forum for operational issues

• Each Supporter to consult to intrested parties stakeholders within their own State (including user groups).
• REHABTech -act as secretary & facilitator.
• Maintain standard of service throughout out Australia.
• Aim for  - Commonality - Consistency
