Artificial Limb Service-Number of hours required for limb manufacture
Proposed national artificial limb scheme - indicator of prosthesis cost

: Number of hours required for limb manufacture

The number of hours required for any prosthesis may, in future, be modified by any recognised industry review.
We recommend that the related Structure and Cost derivation is  read also with these tables.

(Where the  historical calculations are available, they are detailed at the end of this table and marked with an * in the historical hours column. Note:
- Records are not always available for the breakdown of historical figures, but the listing has been compiled from the oldest records available to the Forum.  This means that the description of hours in the table varies
-The final  figures have been compiled from the DVA policy document: Artificial limbs scheme - April 1993)

Please send any comments, feedback or questions about the tables on this page to the ALS Managers' Forum
